A wonderful day!

The first real post. About Chisinau. And about Ukrainian-English. Chisinau, not really a city overwhelming with action. Just a dull, boring place. Also traveling outside the city does one not make really more happy. A flat country with endless flat soil worked on by probably the poorest farmers in Europe. Does that make me have suicidal feelings? No, not at all because the people are nice, the weather is good and there is enough to eat and drink. I travel regularly to Odessa in the Ukraine to visit my colleagues working there. We, that is the European Union Border Assistance Mission for Moldova and the Ukraine. (EUBAM) When you come regularly on my blog I will tell you more so that after a while you kow what I am doing exactly, well almost exactly. While traveling over the border between Moldova and the Ukraine (Tudora) I saw this sign for Customs and Border Guard, easier control! It is a shame that something like that is hanging there. We all know the famous Chinese pictures with strange translation in English, well this one is even worse I think. And to start with, there is no Green Corridor at all, it is just a two-lane street, so not even the possibility to have that! I urgently have asked them to change that but if that will work stays a real question! (Sorry, made the pictures with my mobile phone, so not perfect!) Till the next blog!
